Golf Cart Accessories
You might think that a golf cart is quite a simple contraption and that there really is no need for golf cart accessories other than what you can readily see. In some ways this is true, but at the same time it is also possible–and in some cases, even absolutely necessary–to add some after market enhancements to an otherwise complete golf cart, which is where golf cart accessories come in.
These additions may sound totally unnecessary and even completely outrageous to some of you out there, and you may be thinking that the basic golf cart is already perfect as it is. A lot of people like to keep their tools and equipment fairly basic and anything that you can possibly add is nothing more than a frivolous accessory for the rich and the bored. If you were to take a moment to think about how much golfing has changed over the years however, you may start to be convinced that there is in fact some value to these golf cart accessories. Let’s start with the bare necessities and work our way up to the somewhat superfluous accessories then, shall we?
First in our list of golf cart accessories is the sand rake. Much as many of us would hate to admit it, we all end up in the sand trap at one time or another. There is no shame in that, and in fact it happens to even the best players in the world. Just watch a few rounds of championship golf on TV and you’ll see what we mean. When your ball does end up in the sand trap, you really have no other alternative but to make the best of the situation and work your way out of it. Now sand is tricky stuff as you may have noticed, and it has a tendency to shape itself into forms that make it hard for you to maneuver your ball out of it. In these instances a sand rake can be an invaluable aid in smoothening down the sand around your ball so you can have a clear shot at it and hopefully work your way out of the trap.
Another type of golf cart accessories to have with you on the greens is a golf ball retriever. Along with the aforementioned sand trap, golf courses also have an equally dreaded menace built into them in the way of water traps. If you don’t care about losing a ball or two at play, then you wouldn’t really need one of these handy devices. If you do however, they can help you get your ball out from an almost certain watery end.
Now we’re moving into the not-absolutely-necessary-but-still-nice-to-have territory. Among these golf cart accessories are things such as golf cart cover, food trays, cups and mugs holders, coolers and golf car windshields. While they certainly add nothing to your game itself, these golf cart accessories do add a lot to your enjoyment and comfort while playing the game.
